At The Katy Holmes Trust we take protecting your privacy seriously. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into force on May 25th 2018, we have a legal duty to protect any information we get from you and keep it safe and secure. Personal information may come from when you attend an event, request information by phone, email or post, buy tickets for an event, volunteer your services, apply online and any situation where your personal information is needed and given. The information that may be needed and recorded will be names, addresses, both postal and email, phone and fax numbers, dates of birth, medical and relatives information, bank and debit/credit card information. We use this information to help us give the right services and information to you, any products you may need and we also use the information to keep our records up to date and with logistics. Sometimes we may use your personal information to help with fundraising and advertising but only with your permission, of course! Photographs and films may be used for advertising and promotional materials unless you specifically ask us not to.
Any personal information given to us, by you, is only kept for as long as it is needed and then destroyed. We may have to share it with other charities, companies and their representatives to help us provide a service to you but only on a ‘need to know’ basis! We make sure your personal information is kept safe, secure and correct at all times. Sometimes it is necessary provide your information when it’s required by law.
